i have been thinking about Romans 3 & 4 a lot this weekend.
i waS thinking about righteousness and faith - things we have little to none of. things that it would be impossible for us to gain on our own.
in romans 3:21-26, paul tells us our righteousness comes from faith - apart from the law. apart from being a jew.
i thought of it like this:
God gave us the law, he gave us the prophets, all to testify to his own righteousness. then he offered it to us, through his son.
Faith's giver, (
Its redeemer, (Romans 3:24)
Its sacrifice, (Romans 3:25)
Its atonement (Romans 3:25) was Jesus -- For our justification (Romans 3:25,26; 4:25)

Why join our bible study?
Haven’t you always wanted to read the whole Bible?? Well, for that monumental type of task it is good to have support! Besides, we are fun and who couldn’t use a night in great company with good girlfriends every now and then?? Also, I suspect that dedicating 12-15 minutes a day to reading our Bibles might bring along the good kind of changes we long for (like emotional peace??) – where does that fit in our crazy lives- anyways why not try it?? Besides, we have a beautiful blog – to keep up with each other during the month between readings. This is where you post stuff like, “What in the world does that mean?” Or, “I needed this Scripture just the other day when…” Also, sometimes we may post questions for thought or journaling that may go along with the reading.
